Kamaru Usman vs. Gilbert Burns predictions

The market gives Kamaru Usman just under a 70% likelihood of retaining the Welterweight Championship and earning his 17th successive MMA victory at the expense of Gilbert Burns. Of Usman’s 12 UFC wins, nine lasted the distance and he is only the fourth Welterweight champion among the last 10 to successfully defend their belt for at least two fights.

This is Burns’ first bout since he defeated Tyron Woodley at UFC on ESPN 9 last May. Since returning to Welterweight, he has chalked up four successive victories and two Performance of the Night awards to rise to #2 in the division rankings.

Maycee Barber vs. Alexa Grasso predictions

Alexa Grasso (#15) is narrowly favoured to claim back-to-back wins for the first time in her UFC career against Maycee Barber (#10) in this Women’s Flyweight clash. Grasso’s last six fights produced three victories and losses apiece, and two-thirds of her 15 MMA bouts have been settled by decision. Barber will be aiming to recover from her first ever MMA defeat at the hands of Roxanne Modafferi at UFC 246.

Pedro Munhoz vs. Jimmie Rivera predictions

Jimmie Rivera (#9) is also expected to enjoy successive UFC victories for the first time by overcoming Pedro Munhoz (#8) in this Bantamweight rematch. After emerging victorious from 21 of his first 22 MMA bouts, Rivera was defeated in three of his last five and also suffered a knockout loss for the first time in his career. However, Rivera earned a decision victory when the pair first fought at UFC Fight Night 77 in November 2015.

Ian Heinisch vs. Kevin Gastelum predictions

Kevin Gastelum (#9) is predicted to pick up his first MMA victory since May 2018 from his Middlewight bout against Ian Heinisch (#15). Gastelum enters this fight following three straight UFC defeats, and has only won four of his last 10 bouts overall. Heinisch overcame back-to-back losses himself to beat Gerald Meerschaert at UFC 250 in his last octagon outing.

Pollyana Viana vs. Mallory Martin predictions

Mallory Martin is expected to make it two wins from her first three UFC bouts by inflicting what would be a fourth defeat in five fights for Pollyana Viana. Martin collected the Performance of the Night award for her last fight courtesy of a submission victory over Hannah Cifers, while Viana’s opening round win against Emily Whitmire at UFC Fight Night 175 curtailed a run of three straight losses.

Gabriel Green vs. Philip Rowe predictions

The odds literally cannot separate Gabriel Green and Philip Rowe for this Welterweight clash. Green suffered a decision victory against Daniel Rodriguez for his UFC debut at UFC on ESPN 9, although this was his first loss in seven MMA bouts. Meanwhile, this fight is Rowe’s UFC debut and he enters it following six successive MMA wins, of which only one progressed beyond the second round.

Maki Pitolo vs. Julian Marquez predictions

The odds give Julian Marquez just over a 60% chance of enjoying what would be his sixth win in seven MMA fights against Maki Pitolo in this Middlewight matchup. Marquez lost via split decision to Alessio Di Chirico at the The Ultimate Fighter 27 finale, but racked up four knockouts in five MMA wins before that. Pitolo will be keen to avoid a third straight loss, having managed just two wins in five UFC fights to date.

Anthony Hernandez vs. Rodolfo Vieira predictions

Rodolfo Vieira is strongly favoured to maintain his undefeated MMA record by beating Anthony Hernandez in this Middlewight bout. Vieira has thus far overcome Oskar Piechota and Saparbek Safarov since making the step up to UFC, and achieved five of his seven MMA wins in the opening round. A loss for Hernandez will result in the first back-to-back defeats of his MMA career.

Miranda Maverick vs. Gillian Robertson predictions

Miranda Maverick is expected to build upon her UFC 254 win against Liana Jojua at her UFC debut by defeating Gillian Robertson in this Women’s Flyweight clash. Maverick has earned four straight MMA victories and five of her eight to date came via submission. Robertson has turned in mixed results throughout her UFC tenure and incurred three losses in her last seven fights.
